Computer Drawing Programs (for schematics)
XFIG
I have used xfig (supported by athena). At your athena prompt type: add sipb then type: xfig& Halfway down the sidebar click on the graphic of a bunch of books (i.e. "library") -- and it will bring up a subwindow with pulldown library options. You'll see "logic" and other drawings which you can grab and build from. The file you create can be exported to .eps, .gif, etc. as you may wish to import them into your text file, etc. Good luck! XCIRCUIT
Date: Thu, 11 Mar 1999 13:39:24 EST From: David J RoweOne program that you can use to draw schematics is Xcircuit. >From an athena prompt type: add outland Then type: xcircuit & Xcircuit is similar to any standard drawing program except that it has builtin libraries for standard components (gates, resistors, etc.). To display the library contents go to the Window menu and select "Show library". If you have a suggestion about a good online schematic drawing program, send me an email, and I will post it here. Thank you. --Francis Doughty doughty@mit.edu
