The lab will be open starting at Noon on Monday, Oct. 8 (The honorary Columbus Day).

another way to print out LECTURE NOTES

Go to the 6.111 locker on athena for the lecture note you want: /mit/6.111/terms/lectures/f01/N/ (where N is the lecture number) At your athena prompt add soffice soffice lN.ppt& ctrl + p brings up the print menu (more below) To: 6.111students@MIT.EDU Subject: Printer Friently Class Notes Date: Mon, 24 Sep 2001 15:35:04 -0400 From: James L Kirtley Power Point style files for each of the lectures are in the course locker: /mit/6.111/terms/lectures/f01/N/lN.ppt where N is the lecture number (today was 8). They get put up there some time before class (as far ahead as I get prepared) and sometimes get corrected after class (as today one of you noted an error on the first page and that has been fixed). I set permissions to be world readable so anyone with the ability to attach an MIT locker should be able to read them.

printing Double Sided and Multiple Slides per page
From: Don Troxel Date: Wed, 26 Sep 2001 21:34:13 -0400 (EDT) To: Subject: printing double sided - and multiple slides per page Athena uses different queues to print one sided or two sided. For example, to print double sided in the lab use lpr -Php-4si2 filenames To take a PostScript file and print multiple pages per page use psnup. Read the man page but I think the command to do two up (a good start) is simply psnup 2 filename.ps Don Troxel
